SPICY MISO SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 500 g of white miso paste
  • 200 ml of mirin
  • 200 ml of sak
  • 80 g of caster sugar
  • 20 g of Shichimi (7 spices)
  • 50 ml of chili oil
  • 50 ml of sesame oil
  • 30 ml of water

Step 1

Mix the miso paste, sugar and water together in a saucepan and heat.

Step 2

Add mirin, sake and then add spices and oils.

Step 3

Mix together until you have a smooth sauce.

To go with eggplant skewers.
